Switch Home Security ("we", "us") is an independent home security advisory service serving homeowners in the United States. We are not affiliated with any home security provider whose name you may have searched.

What we collect

• Information you give us: your first name, ZIP code and phone number when you submit the callback form, and anything you tell an advisor during a call.
• Call information: the number you called from, call time and duration. Calls may be recorded for quality and training — you are told at the start of the call where recording applies.
• Automatic information: IP address, approximate city and state derived from it, browser type, pages viewed, and the advertisement or search that referred you.

How we use it

• To return your call and give you pricing and availability.
• To pass your enquiry to a licensed home security provider or authorised dealer who can serve your address, where you have consented to that contact.
• To measure advertising performance and improve this website.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

Who we share it with

We share your details with home security providers and authorised dealers for the purpose of quoting and servicing your enquiry, and with service providers who host our site, route our calls and measure our advertising. We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties.

Calls and texts

By submitting the callback form and ticking the consent box, you give express written consent to receive marketing calls and text messages at the number you provide, including by automatic telephone dialing system or pre-recorded voice, from us and our partners. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may revoke consent at any time by telling the advisor, replying STOP to a text, or contacting us at inquiry@switchhomesecurity.com.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement, including Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking. You can control cookies through your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics, see Google's opt-out tool.

Approximate location

We look up the approximate city and state associated with your IP address to display service availability. This is not precise location data, it is not stored, and we do not access your device's GPS.

Your rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise these rights by contacting inquiry@switchhomesecurity.com. We will verify your identity before acting.

Retention and security

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
